OUR 5 FAVOURITE A/W 16 TRENDS

As much as we love summer and its pretty dresses, we always look forward to moving into the snuggly Autumn fashions and of course, the sparkly christmas pieces.
Autumn/Winter 2016 is introducing a whole range of fun and stylish trends into our wardrobes. We’ve chosen our favourite five from the super long list of incoming trends, and searched the high-streets for some of the best pieces in each category. The five we have picked are; velvet, frills, embroidery, sequins and jumbo earrings but there are so many more exciting trends! These are all trends that we will be loving and filling our wardrobes with; so here are our top high-street picks…
Velvet
We were loving the velvet trend in the 90’s and we are super excited for its comeback now! Velvet is everywhere right now, it’s used on anything from ballet pumps to jumpsuits, and is definitely a key fabric to watch. It has arrived in a multitude of exciting and bright colours, and velvet has never looked so good.

FRILLS
One of our favourite trends to come into A/W16 is frills, and we have already started our collection of frilly items in our wardrobes. Frills add a fun and feminine look to any piece. We are loving the shirts overloaded with massive frills, they can add a really dramatic look to an outfit.

BIG EARRINGS

As you probably know, we are really into our jewellery and this massive earring trend is one of our very, very favourite trends to come around. We've been stocking our wardrobes with huge earrings for a while and this is a great excuse to buy some more!

The catwalks were full of embroidery and embellishment for this season and it seems every high-street designer has picked up on this. There are some really gorgeous embroidered pieces out there at the moment from jeans to bomber jackets. This seems like another 90’s flashback to us and we are really loving the brightp colours used!

SEQUINS
Sparkly sequin dresses were all over the A/W16 catwalks and of course we were thrilled by this. Winter is a season for sequins, sequins and more sequins and we are more than happy to follow this trend. For 2016, sequins are making an entrance into casual-wear. There are a lot of casual style tees, dresses and jeans adorned with sequins in every high-street shop. We are especially loving the rainbow sequins jeans from Topshop, they are very high up on our wishlist!

SEQUINS
