COLOUR POPPING INTO SPRING
March 20, 2018
Hello!
As you probably know - if not (prepare for a shameless plug) why not follow us on Instagram (Sharkett Sisters) - we were up in Manchester a few weeks ago for a little time at home. We just couldn't resist a mini shoot in the Northern Quarter while we were there and thought it would be a great time to show off a few of our new fave pieces.
This time of year is always hard to dress for, especially when it's snowing and minus degrees one week then double figures the next. So these is not necessarily appropriate for this baltic climate but as spring draws in these two outfits are perfect for this transitional phase.
Jumper - Zara
Skirt - Topshop
Boots - Jasper Conran at Debenhams
Jacket - Biba at House of Fraser
You've probably seen this amazing spotted Topshop skirt before, it has definitely been a favourite among the fashion bloggers! Polka dots are a huge trend of the season and this skirt is a perfect transitional piece to wear into spring and summer. It looks fab worn with black tights, boots and a jumper for the colder days and the black and white polka dots look amazing paired with a super bright top for when it gets a little warmer.
Speaking of bright colours, I love the amazing sunshine yellow of this knit from Zara, its super cheap at only £12.99 and they have it in loads of different colours! Its also super lightweight, which makes it perfect for tucking into a skirt.
I've mentioned these boots in a blog post before (here) and I am still loving them, the silver goes with everything and they are so comfy! There are still a few pairs left in the sale (and they are seriously a bargain) so if you like them, get over to Debenhams now!
Jumper - H&M
Jeans - River Island
Boots - River Island (last year)
Well, I didn't think jumpers would still be the main focus of these outfit posts now we're officially in Spring, but here we are!
This jumper quickly became my fave and go-to from the second I bought it. It's chunky but not too warm - for when the weather decides to behave! And it's the perfect cropped length for wearing with high-waisted jeans. The colour is just amazing; it's not often you see this kind of purple around but I just absolutely love it. I especially love the purple paired with these bright pink boots. If you're not particularly feeling the purple but fancy the jumper then they conveniently sell it in a bright red and mottled grey too. I can see at least one of those colours making it into my wardrobe soon - how can you resist at £14.99?!
Thank you so so much for reading this post!
We loved being back in Manchester, and would love to get your recommendations of new places we need to go whenever we're back up there!
