APRIL FAVOURITES
May 15, 2016
Again, the month seems to have flown by, but we have put together some items that we have loved. It's a little delayed because this is the first time we have seen each other since April ended! These are our favourite things from April...
Antonia: I have been wearing this M&S checked shirt so much this month! It's so big and slouchy and comfortable. I actually got one of these in khaki a few months ago, which I also wear all the time, and I popped into M&S and found more colours in the sale! So I obviously had to buy another one. I just find it so easy to wear, with skinny jeans or leggings, it's just a perfect throw-on item. They don't have the darker colours anymore but they do have this new white one which is perfect for summer!
Imogen: As you can see, I love these pyjama leggings from Next so much that I have 3 pairs! The first ones I got were the love heart ones for Christmas. Since then, I decided I needed more because they’re just so so comfortable! As well as for bed, I sometimes wear them in the day too when I’m just staying in at uni, they’re much comfier than jeans!
Antonia: First of all, the Zoeva Rose Golden brushes are just beautiful, rose gold anything is basically the key to happiness. But they are also amazing quality! These three eyeshadow brushes are my absolute favourites, I probably use them everyday! The luxe defined crease basically does what it says on the brush...it's perfect to use in the crease! The same for the petit crease, I find it really good to get a nice defined crease. I use the luxe soft definer brush to blend, it's a perfect sized fluffy brush to blend out any harsh lines.
Imogen: These are the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks in Amazing Grace, Sexy Sienna and Lost Cherry(from top to bottom). The lighting is really weird in this photograph and you can't really see what they properly look like, but I'm sure they will make many appearances on the blog. They have been my favourite lipsticks for a long time now, probably just over a year! But I have been wearing all three of these a lot more in April now that it’s coming into summer. Sexy Sienna is a lovely orange, Lost Cherry is a pinkish red and Amazing Grace is basically a mix of the two in a beautiful coral shade. Amazing Grace was my first favourite and still my most used! I love them!
Imogen:After a few weeks of longing for these, I finally bought them and have barely taken them off since! They are the Superga 2570 in white leather. Because they are white they go with literally everything and are the perfect smart-casual choice! They are super comfy but I do wear my Supergas all of the time whether its my white leather ones or my various sparkly ones, so my feet are very used to them!
Antonia: Now that the sun has finally started to shine, I decided I needed some new sunglasses! I stumbled across these ones in Topshop and I love them! I love the super shiny mirrored lenses and these ones shine from pink to gold to green in the sunlight! I also love that they have the tortoiseshell frames and the classic wayfarer shape. You can guarantee that if the sun is out, I'm wearing these sunglasses!
Antonia: I've read and loved a few books by Cecilia Ahern so after a quick read of the blurb of Flawed I had to give it a go! It's a young adult novel, which is not Cecilia's usual genre, and probably too young for me... but that didn't stop me from loving it! I didn't put it down until I finished it, which didn't take long, I have a habit of staying up till about 3am if I'm in the middle of a good book, which is not a good idea when I'm in work at 8! Oops! I'm just going to copy the blurb off the website because I won't do it justice so here it is..
"Celestine North lives a perfect life. She’s a model daughter and sister, she’s well-liked by her classmates and teachers, and she’s dating the impossibly charming Art Crevan. But then Celestine encounters a situation where she makes an instinctive decision. She breaks a rule and now faces life-changing repercussions. She could be imprisoned. She could be branded. She could be found flawed. In her breathtaking young adult debut, bestselling author Cecelia Ahern depicts a society where perfection is paramount and flaws lead to punishment. And where one young woman decides to take a stand that could cost her everything."
It's a bit of a Hunger Games, Divergent kind of book with the dystopian society theme but without all the actual fighting. You could say this sounds really boring, It certainly wasn't as exciting as Hunger Games but I still enjoyed it! I found myself outraged on behalf of Celestine at the things that were happening and thank god we don't live in a world like that! The only downside for me is that it ended at a really unsatisfactory place and the sequel isn't out until 2017! I will be waiting for it!
Anyway, I will let you make up your own mind on this one so give it a go if you fancy!

Lemonade Béyonce - The Visual Album
Imogen: I have not stopped playing this whole album since the morning it dropped! The album is beyond incredible, with so much emotion and passion in every song. And then the Lemonade Film, well it's just insane. I can't even find words to express how much I love it, I could never pick a favourite song! Our Formation World Tour tickets came the other day too, so hurry up 5th July!Antonia: I have also been absolutely loving Lemonade! I have it playing in my car basically all the time! It has made me even more excited to go and see Bey in Manchester in July!! Although I love all of them I think my favourite songs off the album are Daddy Lessons, Hold Up, Sorry and Freedom. I couldn't pick one, I also love Sandcastles and 6 Inch... just all of them.
Thank you for reading our post!
We really hope you enjoyed it!
