OUR TONY AWARDS TOP 15

June 13, 2016

Sunday evening was Broadways big night, the Tony Awards. Many of theatres biggest names took to the red carpet and then on to celebrate their industry. Exciting gowns sparkled down the red carpet in every colour of the rainbow, and don't forget the very smart, tuxedo wearing men.
We put together 15 of our favourites looks from the night to create our very own best dressed list. So in no particular order the best dressed awards go to...

 All Photos are from Vogue.com

Joan Smalls in Altuzzara
Joan is definitely right up there at the very top of the best dressed at the Tony Awards! At first, this just looks like a really gorgeous print, but if you look closer it is actually the embellishments which create the print! The low cut, floor length gown looks absolutely flawless covered in silver, red and black embellishment which really gives it an amazing elegance!

Jourdan Dunn in Zac Posen
We love this dress! The structured, silk finished dress is absolute perfection on Jourdan. It has a really feminine and glamorous feel with the sweetheart neckline and high-low hem. Zac Posen always knows how to get it 100% right with the shape and draping of gowns!

Liza Marshall and husband Mark Strong
Flowers seem to be a really big trend at the moment on the red carpets. Which matches perfectly with the Tony Awards red rose background! Lizas colourful, symmetric,  floral embroidery really stands out from the dress against the black. There is a really elegant feel to this dress and we think it really suits Liza.

Lucy Liu in Zuhair Murad
Lucy's dress is just so pretty and almost princess-like! Gorgeous gowns like this is definitely a strong suit of Zuhair Murad, you can always count on seeing a few on the red carpet! We love the pale yellow colour on this dress and the gorgeous floral embellishments. The super low neckline and cinched in waist really suits Lucy's slim figure.

Laura Benanti in Oscar de la Renta
We absolutely love the colour of this Oscar de la Renta dress! The bright pink against the navy embroidery is a stunning combination and the simple shape of the dress lets the colour and texture do all the talking!

Laura Osnes

Of course, we really love the sparkly beads on this dress. This dress is quite a simple shape but the extra volume at the bottom and the embellishment from top to bottom really take this from simple to red-carpet worthy!

Phillipa Soo in Prabal Gurung
Phillipa looks really beautiful in this white dress and really stands out from the red of the backdrop. We really love the shoulder cut-outs and leg split and especially love all the thousands of intricate beads adorning the panels helping Phillipa to sparkle down the red-carpet!

Mary Winstead in Zuhair Murad
This Zuhair Murad dress is incredible! The gorgeous shape and the thousands of red, silver and black sequins create a really dramatic ballgown which really sparkles!

Lupita Nyong'o in Boss
We love the bright primary colours on Lupitas dress, you can't tell very well in this photo but the dress is entirely covered in sequins! The sequins make up this abstract floral print which we absolutely love!

Jenna Ushkowitz in J. Mendel
We love this black and white colour blocked dress on Jenna. Black and white is always a striking combination on a red carpet and we love the small cut out on the top, it shows just the right amount of skin! We love the sequin panels at the top too! They add a gorgeous bit of sparkle.

James Corden in Burberry and wife Julia Carey
We love James Cordens shiny red Burberry suit. It's nice to see a men in something other than black for a change! We also love Julia Carey's floral dress, the red accents compliment James' dress perfectly!

Ana Villafañe in Carolina Herrera
We absolutely love the colour of Anas dress, it is such a lovely, bright pink! The sequins in different shades of pink make a pretty rose effect which then cascades down the dress like confetti.

Aaron Tveit
We're not going to lie, Aaron is just here because he's pretty... you're welcome.

Danielle Brooks in Derek Lam
We think the draped top of this dress is so flattering on Danielle Brooks! The navy silk looks incredible and rich against her dark hair and skin tone!

Iain Armitage
This little guy is so cute in his little tuxedo and hat! We absolutely had to feature him on this list!
